Internet Solutions (IS) Mozambique has rolled-out its first point-of-presence (PoP) network in the four main remote locations in Mozambique.
Located in the economically booming mining exploration regions of Tete, Niassa, Zambesia and Manica in the far northern part of the country, the additional MPLS PoPs further accelerate IS’s penetration into the Mozambique business market.
The Mozambican economy is expected to post growth of 8.4% in 2013, according to a projection included in the Economic and Social Plan of the country’s 2013 State Budget, approved on 18 September by the Council of Ministers.
“Given Mozambique’s increasingly booming economy*, we are in a unique position to supply the growing need for robust corporate communications into the country,” says IS Mozambique chief executive, Hermann Woithe.
Employing WiMax, IS has installed a point-to-multipoint architecture for an international financial institution with branches all over the country.
The network employs a combination of technologies in order to support the level of availability required for the corporate organisations seeking connectivity solutions in these growing regions.
