The Samsung Galaxy S III is now available in the diamond-rich nation of Botswana.
Mokgethi Magapa, Samsung Electronics country manager for Botswana, is optimistic the product will do well in that nation, despite its small population of slightly over 2 million.
“The market is small but very productive with growth potential, good infrastructure and a high literacy rate. Therefore, we are taking this market seriously. We are not only being aggressive in the market but also adding value,” said Magapa.
Magapa said demand from the Botswana market will push the company to bring cutting-edge technology into the Southern African country.
“We are committed to this market. We had pre-orders long before the product hit the market."
The introduction of the increasingly popular Galaxy S III, comes a few weeks after launches in neighbouring Namibia and South Africa.
