Huawei Technologies will this week unveil its eagerly-anticipated Acsend P1 smartphone in South Africa.
The company was hopeful the gadget, which it describes as the slimmest and fastest smartphone in its class, would be a success in African markets.
Huawei’s latest smartphone’s launch comes hot on the heels of the Samsung Galaxy SIII in the country, a device that has received rave reviews.
Weighing 110grams, among prominent features of the smartphone are an 8 megapixel camera and a super amoled capacitive touchscreen.
It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
