Cyber security solutions provider CheckPoint Software Technologies has announced the launch of a new global partner program, Check PointS.
Ahead of the company's CPX360 2019 analyst and media event hosted in Vienna, Austria this week, the company said the program was developed in close consultation with its partners "to remove the complexity often associated with selling and supporting security solutions."
Through Check PointS the company will be looking to underscore the value it links to Infinity Total Protection, the security consumption model Check Point rolled out in 2018 to enable enterprises to prevent Gen V cyberattacks.
Starting from April 2 2019, Check Point partners will earn points for "engaging in activities that drive customer engagement and investment", such as meetings with customers' C-level executives, conducting product demos, or having planning or training sessions with Check Point.
In January 2020, partners' point totals will be used to determine their level in the Check PointS program, the company explains.
Mobile, cloud not 'one-off' sales
Frank Rauch, Check Point's Head of Worldwide Channels, said, "The new Check PointS program has a single, clear objective: to help our partners become more successful, knowledgeable and profitable. The program is unique in rewarding ongoing customer engagement, which is key to unlocking new sales opportunities."
The company believes sales opportunities around cloud and mobile require continued customer engagement rather than being 'a one-off sale'.
To this end CheckPoint says this channel reward program is differentiated in the market because it is based on reward for the level of investment by a company of any size in customer interaction rather than pure sales results.
Partners will log eligible CheckPointS activities using a purpose-made mobile app, the company adds.
"In addition to tracking activity at the partner level, Check Point will monitor the points earned by each partner employee, who will qualify for individual rewards once they reach agreed point thresholds," reads an excerpt from the company's statement.
CheckPoint said the program offers up several benefits including dedicated account teams, enhanced sales tools, increased product margins and incentives for partners, and advanced sales and product training.
At CPX360 the company is expected to delve deeper in to its 2019 Security Report which found that cryptominers dominated the malware landscape in 2018, 20% of companies globally continue to be hit by cryptomining attacks every week and 33% of companies were hit by mobile malware in the past 12 months.
