Twenty Indian multi-millionaires are planning to visit Rwanda at the end of this month to explore investment opportunities in the East African country’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
This is according to Clarence Fernandes, a delegation coordinator for India and the government of Rwanda..
Fernandes said that over $200 million in investment from India had been registered in Rwanda last year alone. And a further $1 billion worth of Indian projects could be further in the pipeline for the African country.
“How much the investors will inject in Rwanda will be known later after the assessment. Of course, everybody wants to invest in this country,” Fernandes said.
He hinted on joint ventures with Rwandan investors.
“I encourage our investors to work with their Rwandan counterparts because that will help in making their business more successful,” he said.
