APC by Schneider Electric partners Red Dot in Zambia

APC by energy management and automation firm Schneider Electric has partnered with Red Dot Distribution as the official distributor of all APC products in Zambia.

According to information supplied, Red Dot started out with a small team based in Tanzania and has expanded.

Riaan de Leeuw, Vice President, Schneider Electric ITD Anglophone Africa, said, "Power and cooling are two of the biggest IT challenges facing businesses today. As facilities are being built or upgraded, APC by Schneider Electric's solutions assist in increasing efficiency and achieving the desired business impact."

"This new partnership will increase APC's presence in Zambia, while ensuring improved stock availability, time to end user, and knowledge of the market while improving our overall competitiveness."

Country Manager for Red Dot Distribution's new office in Zambia, Milton Ziwira looks forward to exploring this new market and uncovering previously untapped opportunities.

He said, "Our primary goal is to promote the use of ICT in Africa and bridge the gap in use of technology for Zambian consumers who have previously relied on outside companies to cater to their needs. Through our partnership with APC by Schneider Electric, and their superior product offering, we have successfully managed to expand our business across the continent."

According to Schneider Electric, APC has a long history of nurturing strategic partnerships with global leaders in the IT industry.

"Our focus on strategic, business and technology puts APC at the forefront of technology trends and industry insights. Our official entry into the Zambian market speaks to our strategy for the rest of the continent, where hope to make APC products more readily available in future," de Leeuw concludes.
