SA software firm Piilo plans African expansion

South African tech firm Piilo Software has announced that it plans to introduce its human resources (HR) management software to over 35 African countries over the next three years.

Piilo Software was launched in South Africa earlier this month and is hosted on Microsoft’s Azure global cloud programme.

According to the software company, it provides small, medium and large businesses with practical HR management solutions in a bid to boost employee productivity.

Piilo founder and chief executive officer Phil Lötter has told ITWeb Africa that outside of South Africa Piilo Software has also been trialled in southern African country, Botswana.

“Through a combination of resellers and our marketing plan we want to make Piilo software available in other African countries as early as October this year,” he said.

“The plan is also to translate Piilo software into a French version, which may be released later this year to cater for West African countries,” he explained.

Piilo Software is currently offered in 8 modules that are planned grow to 12 modules during 2013 with additional mobile functionality being released in May 2013, according to Lötter.
